Montreal, January 4, 2005 — TransForce Income Fund (TSX: TIF.UN), the leader in the Canadian
transportation and logistics industry, today announced a series of management appointments that
strengthen the leadership of the Fund’s operating subsidiaries and its ability to continue to create

Gary King, formerly President of TST Overland Express, has been appointed President of TransForce
subsidiary TST Solutions L.P. In this new position, Mr. King will have direct responsibility for a group
of TransForce divisions comprising Kingsway, Select, Daily, TST Expedited Services, TST Air, TST
Automotive Services, TST Truckload Express, TST Load Brokerage Services, and TST Overland
Express. Mr. King will report directly to Mr. Bédard,

The other appointments to presidents of operating subsidiaries are:
- Barry Bruneau has been appointed President of TST Automotive Services and Senior Vice
President of TST Solutions L.P. Barry joined the TST Companies in 1980 and most recently
was the Senior Vice President for both TST Automotive Services and TST Overland Express.
- Brian Kohut has been promoted to President of Kingsway where he most recently was
Executive Vice President. Brian joined TST Expedited Services as Vice President & General
Manager in 2001 after spending over 20 years in the transportation industry.
- Rob O’Reilly has been promoted to President of TST Overland Express. After spending several
years in the logistics business, Rob joined TST Overland Express in 1995 as Vice President,
